Family Weekend!!!

This weekend I was lucky enough to have my family come visit me and see my shows! My parents, brother Mike and wife Corie, nephew Seppi, along with Aunt Amy and cousin Andy! Needless to say, it was a fabulous weekend spent with some of the people I miss the most!

The first thing we did was meet up in Springdale for some lunch. We ate a place called Oscar's.....DELICIOUS!!!! It was the perfect fuel up for a bit of hiking in Zion. We did an easier and shorter hike (started late, and it was HOT!), the Emerald Pools. Like everything you see in Zion, it was beautiful! Seppi had a great time playing in the cool water, and trying to catch the tadpoles with Grandpa. Mike and I of course had a good time finding something to climb on :). We find a nice big rock to get on top of, and wanted so badly to jump off into the water to cool down! Unfortunately, there we "no swimming" signs posted, which wouldn't usually wouldn't stop us....BUT there were a lot of people around, including the parents ;).

                                                                       Me and Dad
                                                                    Corie, Seppi, Mike
                                                                          Whole Fam!
                                                                           Seppi!
We're small, but we're up there!

They came to "Little Mermaid" and loved it! Unfortunately, a few minor things were cut due to high winds (I perform at an outdoor amphitheater), which was a bit disappointing for me, but they thoroughly enjoyed everything they saw! The next night, they returned to watch "Grease" with my aunt and cousin. Again, loved the show! It's seriously so great to have my family in the audience, makes performing a little more special those nights. Also, being the best big brother, Mike text me during the show and dared me to flip my hair with my hand at least 50 times before the end (and this text was in time for 2nd act only, so I had a lot of flipping to do)! We've been doing the show for quite a while now, and still have 3 months of shows left, so I welcomed this little addition to my performance! I certainly fulfilled the dare and then some lol. I'm sure people thought I was ridiculous, but that's the fun of it!

It was great to spend the entire with my family! We are definitely a family who laughs and plays A LOT, and I wouldn't want it any other way! My nephew Seppi also came with the sweetest gift I've ever received! My sister-in-law Corie Illustrated an adorable children's book that her sister wrote "There's a Monster in the Water", and with some help from mom, Seppi read the story to me! My cheeks were aching by the end of it, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face! He is the sweetest little boy, and I love him with all my heart! I'm so grateful for the time I was able to spend with my family, and I can't express my appreciation for their constant love and support!

The Best Known Fact About Molls

As I was sitting at my computer, contemplating whether or not I should start a blog, I began to worry that I would never have anything interesting to post. So I started thinking about funny stories and experiences I've had, things and places that I've enjoyed, and people who have changed my life in one way or another, and I decided that it didn't matter if my posts were interesting. The point of this blog is not to impress, but to share my personal discoveries and experiences with others! So, here it goes!

I think I will dedicate my first few posts to the best known fact about Molls.... I love the outdoors! I'm currently living in St. George, UT and have had several opportunities to explore and play outside. Just recently I had the pleasure of hiking the Subway in Zion National Park with a mixture of old and new friends. It was incredible! I have seen pictures before, but seeing it in person and actually being there was so rewarding! I have a great appreciation for the beauties of the world we live in, and this place offered a wonderful spectacle to behold! My best friend Nate Nelson and his wife Malorie, along with Megahn, Brian, and Rachel were a fabulous group of people to share this experience with!
